The two-week Peace Institute 2 was held on July 31 to August 11, 2019. There were 18 participants, 10 females and 8 males. In terms of religious traditions, there were 8 Buddhist (4 females and 4 males), 4 Muslim (3 females and 1 male) and 6 Christians (3 females and 3 males). The sessions in Chiang Mai included the following:
Day 1:
- Opening and Welcoming Rites (YMCA Chiang Mai President, Anuporn Indhabandhu, Associate General Secretaries, Chularat Phongtodsirikul, and Phanomwan Yoodee)
River of Life Activity - Program Orientation, Workshops: KWHL and River of Life – Baidido
- Orientation on YMCA, APAY, ICF and the work of Chiang Mai YMCA – Muriel and Phanomwan
- Sharing on School of Peace Experience – Sirikanya Chaiwongkeaw, SoP 2018
Day 2:
- Feminist Theory and Peacebuilding, and Resisting Violence against Women and Children:
- Sharing of Personal Journeys – Muriel Orevillo-Montenegro
Participants shared their understanding on Feminism (In the photo; Pattama Yaintorn from Chiang Mai and Suhaima Sablani from the Philippines)
Day 3- 5:
- teachings of religions on Peace – Christian, Buddhist and Islam – Fr. Niphot Thienwihan; Dr. Pramaha Boonchuay Doojai; Dr. Kriya Langputeh and visit to Masjid Attaqwah
Day 6:
- Visit Sikh temple and Orientation on Teachings of Sikhism on Peace – Charanjeet Singh
- Visit a Buddhist temple and had Q and A with the abbot; visit the Chiang Mai Zoo
Day 7:
- Understanding Conflict and Conflict Analysis – Muriel Orevillo-Montenegro
Day 8:
- Visit Sao Hin YMCA Environment and Energy Learning Center – Patcharin Avipan /Cha
- Visit Foundation for Education and Rural Development – Khun Warunrat Charoensap
Travel to Chiang Rai – 3 vans with Phanomwan Yoodee as the guide

Day 9-10:
- Visit the Development and Education Program for Daughters and Community Center in Mae Sai (rescuing trafficked children from Mekong Region) – Sompop Jantraka, Director
- Visit Chiang Kong Mekong School on Local Knowledge – Mr. Nopparat Lamun
- Visit Cherntawan International Meditation Center – Ven. Phramaha Wuttichai Wachiramethi, Director
- Debriefing and Reflections, Evaluations, Closing Rites – Baidido and Participants
To monitor, the participants were given KWHL charts to be filled out each day. Forms for Plans and Evaluation were also provided.
